The ESL One Katowice 2018 Major brings Dota 2 to Poland in February
Revealing Poland’s first ever Dota 2 Major!

We're excited to announce our second Major of the 2017-18 competitive Dota 2 season - ESL One Katowice 2018 powered by Intel!

From February 20th-25th, 16 of the world's best Dota 2 teams, who will be selected through invites as well as qualifiers held in six regions, will travel to Poland for the country's first ever Dota 2 Major and the fifth Major of the ongoing season. The final two days of the title-deciding playoffs, February 24th- 25th, will be played out on the main stage of the Spodek Arena.

A total of 1500 Pro Circuit points and $1,000,000 will be up for grabs during the mid-season Major in Katowice. This will give us a strong indicator on which teams are in the frontrunning for the limited direct qualifier spots for The International 8. We can expect a one-of-a-kind reception for the players and teams in the 11,500 seat Spodek Arena, which has previously hosted a multitude of esports events as the home of the Intel Extreme Masters World Championships.

In addition to the Dota 2 festivities, attendees will also have the chance to peruse the IEM Expo which is taking place in the adjacent International Conference Center. Some of the industry's top brands, tech companies and influencers will set up shop on the showfloor with a multitude of stand-alone competitions taking place, as well as showcases with the latest developments the gaming scene has to offer, making it the perfect side-activity between the intense Dota 2 matches.

General admission to both ESL One Katowice and the IEM Expo is free of charge. Ticket sales for priority or premium access to ESL One Katowice 2018 will go live in November, so be sure to follow ESL Dota 2 on both Twitter and Facebook for further tournament updates. For the latest news regarding the IEM Expo, we suggest keeping an eye on the official IEM Twitter and Facebook channels.
