ESL One New York returns to Barclays Center for its second iteration on September 16-17 with top CS:GO teams competing for US$250,000 and the coveted ESL One trophy. We already have last year's finalists, Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro, confirmed for the event, as well as the teams currently placed first and third in the World Ranking, SK Gaming and FaZe Clan.
Today, we are thrilled to announce that joining the above teams will be no other than the Danish dynamite, Astralis. Currently sitting on the fifth spot in the World Ranking, Astralis have been one of the top CS:GO teams in the world for a while now. Just this year, they have won the ELEAGUE major as well as IEM World Championship Katowice, and finished in the top four of DreamHack Las Vegas, IEM Sydney, ECS Season 3 finals and the PGL Major Krakow.
Last year at ESL One New York, Astralis finished the Swiss group stage with a 1-3 record and did not make it to the playoffs. This year, we are expecting a much better performance from the Danes and we cannot wait to see them play in Barclays Center!
Tickets to the event are available so be sure to join us in the Big Apple to watch world's best CS:GO teams live among thousands of fellow fans! For all the latest updates, follow ESL CS on Twitter and Facebook.
