ESL One Manila brings esports to one of the largest Dota 2 playerbases in the world on April 23rd and 24th. Featuring 8 international teams, a $250,000 prize pool, and an arena full of dedicated fans, the atmosphere in the Mall of Asia Arena for this two day esports event is sure to be electric. You won't want to miss out on the region's largest esports event to date!


The Mall of Asia Arena is used to hosting rock concerts and sporting events, but from April 23-24 it will host thousands of Dota 2 fans during ESL One Manila. With close proximity to the airport and to downtown Manila, it won’t be difficult to take in some top level Dota 2 in the heart of the Philippines.

ESL One Manila will feature a double elimination group stage into a playoffs stage. The event will feature one team from Europe, one team from the United States, one team from the Philippines, one Southeast Asian teams, and one Chinese team. In addition teams will be invited directly to the event based on past performance.

The Game

Dota 2 is a competitive game of action and strategy, played both professionally and casually by millions of passionate fans worldwide. Players pick from a pool of over a hundred heroes, forming two teams of five players. Radiant heroes then battle their Dire counterparts to control a gorgeous fantasy landscape, waging campaigns of cunning, stealth, and outright warfare.

Prize Pool

ESL One Manila by PLDT & GameX’s $250,000 prize pool marks a prize money milestone of US$750,000 in relation to ESL’s promise to pledge one million dollars in Dota 2 prize money over a twelve month period. The ESL One tournament series has taken Dota 2 to iconic locations such as the 2006 football World Cup stadium in Frankfurt, Commerzbank-Arena, and the famed Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York.
